We understand the needs of working parents so we offer a daily breakfast and after-school club during term-time, which enables you to drop off your children from as early as 7.30am and pick them up as late as 6pm.
This wraparound care is provided on our school site — usually in the school hall — and is run in partnership with a team from the Mulberry Bush Day Nursery in Ashbourne: a well-established nursery with lots of experience of providing after-school care to children from 3–11 years. They always have a minimum of two staff on, who are DBS-checked and First Aid trained. At least one of these staff will also hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification.
The club starts at 7.30am and runs until school begins at 9am. The team provide breakfast for your child and a range of activities include colouring, jigsaws and construction toys.
Also called ‘Hilltop School’s Out’, the club runs from 3pm–6pm. The team provide a light snack and activities including role play, craft projects, and games such as beetle drive and bingo. Your children can also use the school’s outdoor facilities to relax and unwind after their busy school day.
For the latest costs, or to reserve a place for your child at either club, please contact the Mulberry Bush on 01335 342474, or drop in to see the staff after school. You can use your tax-free childcare account/childcare vouchers to pay for these clubs.
Once you are registered for Hilltop School’s Out Club, you are also eligible to use the Mulberry Bush’s holiday club at their premises on Belper Road (subject to booking).
