PTA

Hello and welcome to your school’s PTA, which stands for the Parent Teacher Association. We are made up of volunteers who are either a parent, guardian or staff member at the school

What we do

We raise funds throughout the year so that the children can enjoy that ‘bit extra’ from their school, on top of what is provided through funding from the school and education authority.

We run a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, including:

  • Film clubs
  • Themed discos
  • A Christmas and Summer Fair
  • Raffles.

How the money gets used

We help fund a wide range of things, such as:

  • topic days
  • class projects
  • trips
  • visitors
  • resources
  • online tools such as Times Table Rock Stars and Jump Start Jonny
  • treats, such as the birthday boxes and leavers’ gifts
  • Christmas parties and Santa’s presents.

Get involved

As Hilltop is a small school, the PTA is a fun and friendly way to meet new people whilst raising funds for a good cause — our children and our school!

We’re always keen to see new parents and carers join us and welcome ideas about ways to fundraise and spend our money. If you are able to attend meetings or help at specific events, we would be very keen to hear from you. If you’re interested in joining us, just contact the school office and they can pass on our details.
