Hilltop held an Open Day on 8th November, which welcomed current and prospective parents, and members of our local community into the school. The event displayed the wonderful work produced by our children, and provided information on the move to becoming a full primary school, with plans on display for the curriculum and building modifications. Staff and governors were also on hand to answer questions and provide school tours. Some of the comments left by our visitors included:
"I have had a fantastic and informative discussion and tour of the school. Looking forward to my son joining next year. Very exciting times, thank you Mrs Jaques, really enjoyed it"
"So excited to see the new plans! Looking forward to all my children being at Hilltop Primary School in September!"
"Great to see the plans of what the future school will look like. Very impressed to hear about the base room for physically impaired children and the life skills kitchen, and that the whole school will continue to be fully accessible for my son"
"A lovely, happy and welcoming school. Amazing space and the plans for the future classes look great!"
"As a student teacher this has been a very informative evening. My prior experience of this school has been very positive; children are happy, staff are supportive and the whole school has a very welcoming atmosphere. This is definitely the kind of school I would love to work in."
"I am very much looking forward to sending my daughter to nursery and school here - even more now I know she can stay until she is 11!. A lovely school."
"A lovely welcoming school with great learning spaces which will only get better with the new plans. All children looked happy and engaged"
"This school is amazing, we have been involved since day one 40 years ago and can't wait for it to become a primary school. We are very lucky in Ashbourne"
